In your Clearity Care box
A coin to keep.
In every Clearity Care box you will find a small memorial coin with Jizō, a symbol of remembrance in Japanese tradition. It is a heavy metal coin, 30 mm across, in a small white box with a short card about Jizō. It is yours to keep.

Your doctor, midwife or a local organisation can find someone who knows about miscarriage and speaks your language.
Support for partners
Partners may grieve differently. Each of you can seek support, and talk together about what you need.

I do not have a partner. Can I use the Clearity Care box?
Yes. The guide is for you, with or without a partner. Someone can be with you. We tell you which finger pricks are needed.
What if I do not recognise anything or have not collected anything?
You don't need to recognise anything. A doctor experienced in embryology always assesses it. Collected nothing? We will discuss what is possible.
Do you always find a clear cause?
No, not always. You always receive a written report. When we find no clear cause, it says what we examined and what we do know.
How will I receive my report?
By email, to the address you give when you register. You receive your report, also when no clear cause is found. Nothing is sent by post.
Why do I need to complete the questionnaire?
Your answers help us read the findings, so the questionnaire is part of the diagnostic examination. Fill in what you know.
Are my answers sent to you automatically?
Once online registration opens, your answers are sent securely when you register. Until then they stay on this device, and you can download or print them.
Will I see images of my baby in the report?
No. Your report contains no images. It sets out each finding and what it may mean, and we make room for your questions.
My pregnancy was further along than 24 weeks. Can I use the Clearity Care box?
Please call us first. For a later loss we arrange the collection directly, with a larger container.

You bring the Clearity Care box to the Emergency Department of Amsterdam UMC, location AMC, day or night.
